⏳Half-term revision sessions are just around the corner, and we’re incredibly proud that 84 of our 130 Year 11 scholars have already signed up. That’s 84 young people choosing to invest in themselves, strengthen their knowledge, and make the most of every learning opportunity! Continuing to offer half-term sessions is something we’re really proud of, and we’ve seen firsthand the impact they have. That’s why we remain committed to supporting, encouraging, and empowering every scholar to reach their full potential 💪 Can't stop, won't stop 🚀 #TeamErnulf

Our Year 11 cohort have started their first mock exam, English Language! To support scholars just before each exam, they’ll have a ‘Just In Time’ session with a subject specialist. This is the perfect opportunity for last-minute questions and a quick knowledge and method review, before stepping into the exam. Year 11... #YouAreReady 💪

I can’t wait for where this goes in terms of the changes to outcomes for our scholars. Knowledge is power! I wonder how we can get year 11 quizzing even more…..

More flash card Friday action @AstreaErnulf today. Plus our first scholar earning the Scholarsceratops badge! He kept coming back for more and more quizzing until he got that badge! He immediately set his sites on the 25 card Scholarsaurus

@BarryNSmith79 @Mouhssin_Ismail I think they were trying to show how “pupil centred” they were. Which I think meant they taught the kids as little knowledge as possible. A HOD spent a long time talking about his animal husbandry club and I had to stop kids shoving on the corridor when I was shown round

Really proud of @AstreaErnulf receiving our first @BritishCouncil International School Award. Early days but we’ve established three school links with Kenya, France and Morocco. Projects started through our elective programme. On to the intermediate award!

@cierzo1 Saving that, I’m not sure we’ll do anything other than talk at cross purposes. Have a great evening regardless and maybe next time I can be clearer

@cierzo1 I’m not sure we’re going to have an agreement here. You like the Finnish system, I think data shows its flaws. I was trying to get at how you view the decline if the system is so good >>

@cierzo1 Who said it was being replicated selectively or that there aren’t multiple models that work? Competition allows these to be explored and applied fully based on individual areas need

@cierzo1 I’ve presented the evidence quite clearly for the first, the large PISA drops and widening gaps. The second point remains to be seen. Are you saying because some schools huge success in England hasn’t been replicated by every school, competition is bad?

@cierzo1 I’m citing models which can and do work and can be replicated in England. Finland’s system isn’t reliable and is showing a widening gap based on socioeconomic status. Equity would be about securing the best deal based on what we know works.

@cierzo1 So their success is due to their system but their decline isn’t? There are schools and models in England that are improving these things, look at the schools with excellent P8 for SEND. Those kids get better deals than they would have without reforms
