This is an absolute fucking embarrassment for America. Vance shouts down Zelensky while spewing propaganda (knowing that Zelensky won't keep up with it in English) Trump only jumps in to defend Putin. Yells about how he's "being disrespected" and Vance starts shouting asking if Zelensky has said "Thank you" to Trump, and screeches about "campaigning for the democrats" And that's just in this few minutes. Across the rest of the meeting both the President and the VP behaved like children, recited Russian talking points and continued to tell Zelensky "he has no cards" because it's all a game to them. Trump sat there and started this entire thing by praising the soldiers and telling Zelensky how "Biden did nothing for him" and talks with Russia were "going well" and you could just see the rage in Zelensky's eyes. This is not how America treats friends and allies. It's not how it treats the people it wants to partner with economically - and it's not how leaders should treat anyone, ever, let alone in the Oval Office. This isn't strong. This isn't dignified. This doesn't make the world "respect America again". These are the antics of children; and these antics erode American trust, stability, investment and power. And if you do not watch this moment and feel the deepest of shame for this moment in our country - then you are part of the problem.

Sometimes you have to show strength in diplomacy and take control. Set a tone that we're done playing the war games. Why are you advocating to continue the war??? Ask yourself that. If Zelensky doesn't want a ceasefire, that in itself is disturbing. Trump said, you didn't have a ceasefire with me last time. You had it with Biden. I personally think Putin and Trump have more respect for each other than the former president. Maybe Zelensky should concede his way is not working, stop begging for us to bail them out financially, and actually take Trump's advice to allow Trump to mediate a ceasefire that Putin will actually respect and adhere to. I'm a pacifist, too many people are dying on both sides, once again at the expense of American taxpayers! I am funding people being killed, and that repulses me.

Yes but that was trump trying to portray that as a false narrative, we haven’t been giving them pure cash man, it’s been mostly stock piled weapons and artillery that wouldn’t be able to be used by our military anymore due to new rules regulations, this has been a great deal for us to use recycled hand me down equipment to people who are desperate for it, I don’t support war but Ukraine has every right to defend itself against Russia who invaded unjustifiably, it would help us in the long run to support this. This makes us look weak, and crippled us, Europe is going to get much stronger now supporting them and we just had the most embarrassing show of diplomacy to the world ever

I think the point of all of this was to show Zelenskyy doesn’t want cease fire. He just wants more money from the US. Trump told him to fk off publicity so everyone knows that the US won’t be someone’s bitch. Thoughts?
