Ideally we would have Mbappe have a similar role to Raphinah at Barca, just run behind defenses and get us G/A, or get on that right side of the attack ( since he’s very hard to top there) and create chaos.
He wants a lot of touches on the ball and be involved in all the build ups but that’s simply not suited to his skill sets, he’s way too limited as a player in that sense.

One of biggest issues with this “team” is a lack of humility, players ( yes plural, so not just one) thinking they’re too good to work hard when they’re not, players trying to take on tasks they’re clearly not good enough to handle and the coach can’t say anything to them because Perez has enabled a toxic culture just like he did when he left in disgrace during his first stint.

In our attack, Mbappe is the bigger problem.
Vinicius has always been like this (half brain dead sometimes). However with a more sensible support system, we get him to work.
Mbappe came as the messiah! He hasn’t delivered.

All the non-footballing people think a goal-a-game guy is the one responsible for the midfield turning like a Humvee every time they receive the ball. Or Huijsen and co making 1 mistake per active half.

Was thinking about this Real Madrid manager situation in last few days.
And they’ve snookered themselves.
•Experienced + player-driven coach (Ancelotti) couldn’t maximise the current squad.
•Young + game model-driven coach (Alonso) couldn’t
•Young + player-driven coach (Arbeloa) couldn’t
There’s only one choice left without making a big sale like Vini or Mbappé sold. Experienced + game model-driven coach. And they must also have elite man-management skills to get them to work off-the-ball. That is Klopp.
