An absolute pleasure to invite students from across Bedford to Bedford Academy today for our first Rising Stars session of the year, exploring the history, geography and religious groups of our local town. Lots of incredibly talented youngsters in our primary schools!

My two loves in life beyond my family - pro wrestling and education. This powerful message from the wonderful Joe Lando, a hugely talented young wrestler with a huge future ahead of him, is one we should share with our youngsters who are in a similar situation. We all know them.

My first week as a parent at Bedford Academy with Sophie joining in September & her graduating from Rising Stars. Her first BA certificate alongside her last Sharnbrook Primary one I'm very proud of how far we have come as a school - so much so we chose our children to attend ❤️

A lovely afternoon with local students across Bedford for Rising Stars exploring Art History with some great artistic challenges in the mix. Our 10th year of the project comes to an end... Until September when our 11th year begins!

We always talk about our super-curricular offer; to help students be competitive in their next steps applications⭐️ 3 different sessions took place during p3 today- external maths tutoring, interview prep for degree apprenticeships & y13s as academic mentors for y12 students🚀

For anyone looking to do a good deed today: This is my daughter Sophie who is trying to raise money after donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust Any likes, shares &, of course, donations, would be hugely appreciated by her, by us &, more importantly, by the @LPTrustUK

Students from schools across Bedfordshire working together is always a lovely sight to see. This evening students as part of the Wadham Project tackled Psychology and the History of Art with excellent contributions, analysis and curiosity from all involved.

Lovely to see so many students from across the community for Rising Stars with 60 students from seven different schools working together to grow crystals &, before that, prove that, whilst there are times when what grows is not what planned, that does not mean it is a failure 🤔

Winter has been added to Spring, Summer and Autumn to complete the 2024 View From Our Window Project. A lovely little art and photography project we have been running for too many years to count now.

A fantastic Wadham Project event yesterday at Redborne involving students from across the country coming together to develop public speaking skills. Huge congratulations to Bedford Academy's Klaus Mukiibi for being chosen as the overall winner of the competition!

A HUGE turnout for Rising Stars tonight despite the wet, the wind and the wild weather this week. 68 students from seven different schools working on languages together - lovely to see!

Rising Stars enters it's 10th year! This year we are exploring growth & we considered the Global Goals & gender equality as well as growth in our memory, our global awareness & our recall with a LONG term memory test. Amazing as always! 60 students Y5-8 from seven schools 🥰

The View Front Our Window The first installment of our seasonal project was a roaring success with 30 Year 7 students happily experimenting with painting, sketching and photography. Always so enjoyable, so mindful and so creative. See you in Winter guys!

@StephanieMcGee5 It's a mixed bag. I went to their TV taping in Cardiff last week and it was fun but not spectacular. I went to Wembley last year and was sat quite far away (pic below) and felt massively disconnected to it. This year I felt like I was there.
