It’s official..I’m retired as a teacher. Not sure where the 33 years went, but I know there are many, many people that helped me on my journey. I hope I gave back even a little of what they gave me. I’m sad, excited and grateful. Thank you!

Covering high school sports has been a privilege I haven’t taken lightly over my past decade on the @SecVAthletics beat. I’ve seen a lot — a lot of good, but also a lot of bad. But when you are able to capture moments like these, it serves as a reminder of why those of us who do it continue to push through all of the bad to find all of the good that can come from such a fulfilling endeavor. So many great kids, coaches, administrators, officials and parents who mean so much to the communities they call home and represent in such a positive fashion. If you’re looking for a reason to keep faith in humanity, even through some of its darkest times, look no further than the countless great memories shared through high school sports. The game at its grassroots. Doesn’t get any better💙❤️
