The 8th grade commencement speech is going to be 🔥 🔥 🔥!

Students are creating graffiti art inspired by Bansky’s trip to the Middle East! The art needs to use symbols to convey a message to!the viewer.

We started to analyze the data we gathered! This will help us understand how Ghana’s quality of life compares to the rest of Africa!

We then watched part of a documentary where Reggie Yates spent a week working with young men that salvage broken electronics. Students had great questions about military time and exchange rates!

Last week, we brainstormed a list of services the government provides with our tax dollars. We then discussed how countries that lack these services tend to have lower average life expectancy.

Our African Union debate was a resounding success! Students will demonstrate their understanding tomorrow. Grades for the semester will be finalized by Friday

On a personal level, I am really excited for today! Students are having an African Union conference to determine equitable water rights for countries in the Nile Basin! We have practiced using evidence to add validity to our arguments! #gameday

Crushing it in the classroom, crushing it on the court! I’m thankful that I have had the chance to learn from some of the best. Enjoy break and time with family!
