@MrRoosPE Parachute basketball, place an old tire in the middle of the parachute, get 3 or 4 beachballs and number them. Each color is assigned a beach ball then they shake the parachute until one lands in the tire.

Doing stations with kinder today, last year it took a full class for the kinder class to understand how to do stations, this group is doing them flawlessly. It's amazing how different kinder groups can be each year.
Exit tickets in PE?? So far this year I’ve really like using exit tickets for some of the social emotional standards. 4th/5th is working on reflecting on individual performance (4.5.5)
The helium hoop challenge was hilarious to watch today. As a group the goal is to bring the hoop from shoulders to knees, the secret is to only focus on yourself because if you focus on what others do you end up going up instead of down.

This week we have been learning how to identify physical activities we prefer and why we prefer these activities through recess games.
Using random dots opened up a great convo about how we don’t know why some others choose activities, but can include all and treat with kindness
Just typed in “kid friend rules for four square” into ChatGPT and just saved myself so much time trying to simplify… if you’re not using AI yet for your lesson planning I HIGHLY suggest you try it out.
Basically, they come in to their quadrant, get to explore with some equipment for 5min (thank you timer) clean up and has a group discussion about our learning goal for the day.
I got the chance recently to share some strategies I use with other pe teachers in dps and one of the things that came up was my warm-up, the first 5.
Most gave me a look of that sounds insane, but with clear expectations the students are doing great with it!
