This morning in Ede (country home of Adeleke), the APC party secretariat was reportedly vandalized. Such actions are meant to instill fear, but they will not determine the outcome of this election. This is not politics, it is a crude, desperate act of misinformation by someone who clearly has nothing credible to offer the people of Osun. Twisting the words of a respected national daily to push a false narrative is disgraceful and exposes a dangerous willingness to deceive the public for selfish gain. We call on the appropriate authorities, management of @MobilePunch Newspapers and friends of media and good journalism (@OgbeniAyoola, @fisayosoyombo, @Tobadejii) to immediately investigate this reckless act and bring the perpetrators to account. Acts like this, if ignored, are capable of igniting political tension, creating unnecessary crises, and destabilising the peace of Osun State. The integrity of the media must not be reduced to a tool in the hands of desperate political merchants.
