The PL has to remain consistent across the entire season else it isn’t a fair competition for all the clubs involved. Granted you do get teams that find form in pockets of the season, but clubs should have to play their strongest side available in every fixture

I don’t want to say Leeds are 100% certainly safe because the phrase ‘doing a Leeds’ exists, but if the boot was on the other foot here and a team had put out a hugely depleted side against one of my relegation rivals to boost their own chances of European success I’d be livid!
