Fantastic night celebrating heart attack survivors, first responders, and medical professionals at the Cabarrus EMS Hearts & Hero's Event. I got to say a few words about our board Vice Chair Greg Mills and the life saving efforts that we all took to help save his life.

Nice way to end the first semester with a fantastic Winter Concert by the Concord High School Band. Terrific job! I especially appreciated the "sight reading" challenge Mr. Harper gave the band students during the concert. Well done!

Saddend by the tragic shooting that took place last night at the Concord Tree Lighting Ceremony. Praying for those who experieced and were impacted by the senseless heartbreaking event.

Congratulations to the PLC Class of 2025. Great message by the principal "Dont Quit!". They haven't.

Fun performance by these talented students at @CabarrusWest. You could tell a lot of work and practice went into this performance. Really liked the sword fight dance and humor in this musical. Great job!

The Concord High School staff celebrated Assistant Principal Janice Witherspoon this afternoon as she is retiring after a 36 year career in education. There were great stories told, several surprise guests, a slideshow, music, unique gifts, and cake. She will be missed at CHS.

Last minute notice but any student that wants an opportuity to showcase their artistic talent can still create and submit hand drawn or painted artwork for this contest. Good luck!

Spending the day learning about current education issues, board responsibilities, best practices, supporting resources, celebrating student successes, and networking w/ other school board members in North Carolina at the North Carolina School Board Association Annual Conference.

The 2024 election season has ended. I want to thank God, my family, the other candidates, and everyone who had a part in our campaign. We won another term on the school board and i look forward to continuing to serve the students, staff, families, and Cabarrus community.
