Anonymous Post – Transition from Head to Deputy Head
I’m a second-year Headteacher and have made the decision to resign and pursue a Deputy Head role. The pressure has become overwhelming, and I no longer find fulfilment in my current position.
I’m wondering how this career move might be perceived—will I still be competitive for Deputy Head interviews? Any advice or insights from those who have made a similar transition would be greatly appreciated.
I'm going back into full-time classroom teaching in September, and I have a LOT to say about English teachers and books in today's world.
But for now here's some good news.
