I think I'm up to 22 Spurs players spotted in the return to pre-season testing at Hotspur Way. No Tonali featured which suggests his work permit has not been confirmed yet. Kudus and Kulusevski among the club's images. football.london/tottenham-hots…
Statement from the Chairperson of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on Flo Balogun's red. No specific reasons given for why the independent panel chose to suspend the red card other than "discretion".
Summary:
- On 2 July 2026, FIFA opened disciplinary proceedings against Balogun for possible breaches of 66 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (expulsion and match suspension related to the red card) and Article 14 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (misconduct of players related to the celebration).
- On 5 July 2026, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee found Balogun guilty of both infringements and imposed a one-match ban, suspended on probation for one year, and a $40,000 fine.
- The FIFA Disciplinary Committee chose to apply Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code "under which it has discretion to suspend the implementation of any disciplinary measures."
- Balogun was handed a one-match suspended ban which "remains dormant during the probationary period and will only be activated if he commits another infringement of a similar nature and gravity."
- The FIFA Disciplinary Committee stress their independence.
- The FIFA Disciplinary Committee add they "did not reverse the referee’s on-field sending-off of Balogun".
- Their sole logic is that "under Article 27 of the FDC, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has the discretion to suspend the implementation of any disciplinary measures so long as they do not relate to match manipulation"... "The exercise of such discretion is fully consistent with the general guiding principles for the determination of the applicable disciplinary sanction pursuant to Article 25 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code."
@raphaeldml@JacobsBen Maybe because VAR intervention wasn’t within guidelines. It wasn’t violent conduct and no foul was called on the field. VAR had no business looking at it when it was deemed a coming together on the field. Play stopped due to both players down in fear of concussion
@JacobsBen Do Americans think football is baseball or NBA?
Why can’t they stick to their own sport and leave football alone
How do you appeal for this challenge?
🚨 Exclusive: The White House made a direct call to FIFA to ask Gianni Infantino to review Folarin Balogun’s red card.
FIFA approached for comment and referred to the findings of its independent committee.
FIFA sources insist White House influence could not affect the decision due to the powers contained in Article 27 and the independent nature of the disciplinary panel.
@Daily_Hotspur@szyexcl Mate, the account you’re referencing is referencing someone that is just referencing them back. Like me saying you and you saying me.
Another twist in the relegation battle as #WHUFC are thumped 3-0 at Brentford.
Spurs can move out of the relegation zone with a win at #AVFC.

I did my taxes. This is the first year in my life that I actually owe the IRS money. Trumps big sh*t bill is a failure.
Don’t let them gaslight you that people are getting the “biggest refunds” this year.
That’s a big fat lie.
(I work in finance btw it’s my specialty)
“Donald Trump raping children”
If I am not mistaken, this is the first time that a senior elected official has directly accused Trump. I would like to remind everyone that members of Congress have access to the Epstein files. It is very courageous of Ted Lieu to speak out in this way.
He is choosing the victims and survivors over the criminals involved in this case.
BRAVO @tedlieu
