For her Leadership III final project, Rani Sharma of @BellmoreJFK organized a field trip to Shore Road Elementary School in @BellmoreUFSD, where her robotics class engaged with sixth graders in brain games. Thanks to Mrs. Ocampo for her support of this initiative! @JFKscience

As part of their leadership II project, @BellmoreJFK juniors Arielle Polk and Jenna Feig worked with @SelfHelpNY to connect Holocaust survivors with students for an engaging and educational social program.

Rylie Levine of @BellmoreJFK was recognized by the Merrick Kiwanis for her contributions to the service and the school community. Rylie has been a service coordinator in the student government for the last two years and has also been in the School Leadership program.

On Wednesday night, we presented our third annual Cougar Talks program. More students that one night than the first two combined. I am full of pride over the way these students presented their talks. They were confident, mature, and extremely poised.

Twice as many cultural showcase. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I am incredibly proud of the students who have worked tirelessly over the past month to put this program together. They have scheduled guest speakers from various organizations, crafted workshops on their own, and collaborated with schools clubs to create this event.

The students in the School & Community Leadership Program are excited to host this year’s Academic Field Day, The Day of Belonging on Tuesday. The program is filled with inspiring workshops, thoughtful discussions, cultural showcases, cultural showcases, and engaging activities.

For his Leadership III final project, Luke Feldman of @BellmoreJFK ran a three-day coding bootcamp for younger students interested in learning the Python programming language. Luke publicized and designed the program, which took place on April 17, 24, and 25.

The students in our Leadership III class present their CougarTalks tonight. Over the first semester, these students have identified and developed ideas they are passionate about and have transformed those ideas into a TED-style talk. The program is at 7pm in the auditorium.
