@TNCarly_ I started this on a previous platform that was my main, but never completed it. I've switched platforms since then and completely forgot about it until this timely reminder. Thank you. I'm ready for another narrative driven game and i remember really connecting with the story.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a beautiful game - the story and visuals are both great. If you're a fan of a narrative driven game, like to make choices and don't mind a bit of jank in your combat, I recommend giving this one a go.

I think that's one of my difficulties today with older games that have aged - despite my age i am more comfortable within a new game world, or a modernised version of an older game. Gaming for me started properly when i hit my thirties, and i suppose after nearly 30 years i am still playing catch up, and tend to steer towards today's games. The new Fable in particular does appear to be checking all the right boxes for me right now though.

@MrShadowWriter you're fine, we all have different taste! Im a huge fan of Remedy's storytelling, especially how interconnected Alan Wake, Control and Quantum break are. Fable games have aged quite a bit but if you don't mind that they're still a LOT of fun! The new one looks amazing so far

Now that we have a date for Blood of Dawnwalker, what I'm hoping for from this summer's showcases is more news on Control Resonant and Fable. It'd be great to finally have release dates for both given they're still being advertised for 2026

@TNCarly_ @LunaAbyssGame @kwaleegaming Hello. Only recently discovered you, and i am really enjoying your content. Feels like a safe and relaxed environment. I can get overwhelmed in the live chat so don't talk in there, but know i appreciate the streams you provide.

I had a blast streaming #LunaAbyss yesterday. Music/Sound, character design, aesthetic, VA and combat are all great so far. I played to the end of chapter 2 (took me ~6 hours) and my only (minor) issue was the first major boss felt unbalanced on the two upper difficulties. I'll definitely be playing more and will hopefully have a review ready for embargo! It releases on 21st May and can be wishlisted on Steam, PS5 and XBOX Series X|S. Links below 💃🏻✨

I would certainly watch this and share in your experience, but it would have to be after the live event for me as i like to watch these shows by myself or with my wife, without the potential extra narrative from streamers and content creators. And i mean this respectfully. The extra talking and excitement shared will always be welcome once i have already watched the live proceedings.😊 Hope that makes sense.

@amanda_rischel To be honest Amanda, i am open to being surprised. The games i know about which are coming soon or in the future are not connecting with me like they might with many others. Summer Gamefest will hopefully light some sparks for some new game worlds for me to invest time into.

Exactly. Why are more people not taking this common sense approach to their thinking?There will always be someone who is overall making the decisions that lead to the outrage that causes the reactions we see today. And yet it is those who are following instructions and literally doing their best to retain their jobs basically whilst taking the brunt of all the criticism which should not be aimed at them. I would also add this though. As an employee one does have the option of making a stand if something does not sit well with them. But again, when you can be made to feel your livelihood is at risk, the chances are one will just keep silent and do the best they can with a bad situation.

Hating developers is just insane. They are literally doing their jobs. In my experience, there is a small percentage of people who actually hold the reigns and make the decisions. They are NOT devs. Devs do the work/tasks they are given, whether they agree with it or not.

I think it depends on what you class as "bad". If we're talking politically and the state of how poorly our government is governing then, personally, i just find myself frustratingly shaking my head at many individuals. That is my way of saying "give me strength." It's times like these that i am grateful to be a gamer. At my age now, and the state of the world it's in alongside the experiences i have endured along the way, really thankful for the creation of game worlds and the escape they can provide. Not forgetting streamers and content creators who also help the hours flow by more comfortably😊

My wife joined me in Destiny 1 and the first year of Destiny 2, before she returned to being more of a supporter and observer of my gaming. She gets pleasure watching me find little gaming successes. I am an old man gamer and she is only a little younger than me. I'm not ever going to say i'm hot but she accepts me for me and respects, even understands, how immersing myself into gaming worlds has literally made a difference to my life over the years, and even moreso at times where it was a virtual lifesaver during strong periods of grieving and personal trauma. Quick example. I'm losing myself in Blue Prince at the moment. Not relying on any videos as i want to be able to say "I worked this out for myself." Last night i unlocked a secret and apparently my smile was rather goofy and childlike. Definitely not hot but we both cheered together. Gaming is something that, in my own way, i am good at, and it keeps my old brain engaged. I'm still a responsible husband and maintain my overall responsibilities as an actual house-husband (due to restrictive health conditions causing me to be largely housebound.) I am proud to be a gamer. My wife is proud of the man i am. Sod anyone who does not understand gaming as we all do.

I know this is [who gives a fuck], but I think grown men who game are FUCKING HOTTTTTTTTT. And grown women who game? OH MY GOD. And don’t get me started on couples who game together. 🥵🥵 Keep gaming ladies and gentlemen. Watching you do what makes you happy is attractive AF.
