🌟 Connor Chaffin is a senior at Olathe Northwest High School and a National Merit Semifinalist. He is the Student Council President and actively participates in debate, forensics, Scholar Bowl, Technology Student Association, class council, and environmental club. Connor believes “active involvement is the best way to make the most of school”. He values these experiences for developing critical thinking and public speaking skills. 👨‍⚖️ After graduation, he plans to study political science and economics, with his dream job being a prosecutor or a judge. 🍎 The 2024 Middle School Math Wings and Math Counts competition took place earlier this fall, celebrating students' skills and teamwork. Winners were recognized in grade-level divisions. 🏆 Each level featured students competing in teams, and here are the results: 6th grade level: 🥇 California Trail Middle School: Ethan Winch, Alex Jin, and Jacob Bush. 🥈 Prairie Trail Middle School: Emma Zheng and Penelope. 🥉 Mission Trail Middle School: Jack Hanusch, Jackson Kaiser, Yusuf Navruov, and Brendan Lavicky. 7th grade level: 🥇 California Trail Middle School: Vidhi Mishra and Vihaan Sripathi 🥈 Oregon Trail Middle School and Pioneer Trail Middle School tied for second place.
