TAXES ON DIESEL REMOVED Govt has removed all taxes on diesel; •Excise Duty, •ZINARA Road •Levy, Carbon Tax, and •Strategic Reserve Levy effective April 3, 2026 (today) to counter rising global fuel prices caused by Middle East tensions. These taxes totaled USD 0.54 per litre; without them, diesel would have reached USD 2.65 per litre. Petrol taxes remain unchanged. The move aims to protect consumers and industries (agriculture, mining, manufacturing, logistics), stabilize prices, anchor inflation, and support economic recovery, despite being a significant fiscal sacrifice. The government will continue monitoring global developments.

CHEGUTU The Parliament of Zimbabwe today facilitated a public hearing on the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment Number 3 Bill at Chegutu Council Hall. A large turnout gathered to present their views on the Amendment Bill. The majority expressed support for the Bill, fully endorsing the extension of the term of office for the President, as well as for Members of Parliament, councillors, and chiefs, to seven years. Below are some of the reasons raised by the public: · Development in various sectors attributed to the Second Republic, hence the need for a seven-year term to consolidate and sustain these gains. · The implementation of Education 5.0 has transformed the education sector; an extended term allows for the continuation and further implementation of such policies. · The extension from five to seven years provides sufficient time for the attainment of Vision 2030. · A seven-year term allows the country to better recover from the financial costs associated with elections, as compared to a five-year cycle.

@MjekanaJK @HermanMashaba You don't have anything to offer South Africans except promising them to chase foreigners and lately you have been following Jacinta's bum everywhere therefore you are xenophobes who just joined forces with vigilantes

@MrSmi_guy @HermanMashaba That’s lazy thinking with zero substance. Calling ActionSA “xenophobic” and linking us to vigilantes without proof doesn’t make it true, all it does is show how clumsy you are...

SA is being treated like a free-for-all, and it’s a direct result of weak, absent leadership. When people can walk into this country and set up parallel authority structures, something as outrageous as a so-called “kingship”, it’s a calculated bet that government won't act.

@DatXenoSAfrican @ThabaKoena @HermanMashaba If you were an EFF member you'd be asking real question like: 1 who would approach vigilantes and stab one of them. 2 How are kings installed in SA. Simakade kaZwelithini tried to install him and everyone knew that it was a joke ,it's all political point scoring

@brian_lungu Why not do it in their homeland. As a Zambian who speaks Lozi and Bemba, I can’t enter into Botswana and begin to negotiate that I became a Lozi King in Botswana, I must return to Zambia and do it on my land. It’s that simple ; Kozo 🙏🏾

As a Zambian, I’d also like everyone coming into our country to respect our laws. We equally anticipate Zambians to respect laws of every country that welcomes them in. You don’t enter into someone’s country, begin to dictate your own rules & even want to instal your own king !

Ngizwe Mchunu and his toy soldiers, plus some misguided Khoi "Kings" and useless members of Contralesa are busy with a pathetic march in KuGompo City today. They are marching over a coronation of a King of Igbo people. Igwe Ndigbo 🇳🇬 Igwe was corronated in KuGompo City CBD not long ago. He is expected to preside over Nigerian [Igbo people] affairs in Town. The useless marchers like Ngizwe, from mountains and outbacks, are not asking themselves pertinent questions: 'why do our own Kings live in the mountains & inaccessible valleys of Rural areas?' ' Why are we not marching to Mhlanga Rocks or Centurion or Polokwane or Mthatha CBD?' Those are the questions they should be asking themselves instead of harassing fellow Africans
