Part of maturing and being in charge of where you allow yourself to be is knowing when to leave the room. If I don’t feel positive somewhere or in a situation, or I’m around low energy/ negative people , I’ll make an exit swiftly. Choice!! #StarzUp

As a songwriter, the three things I’ll always be is grateful, passionate & hungry!! I’m grateful to have had accolades to my name, classic anthems, platinum records, a Billboard number one, but that’s the past. My hunger keeps me going and passion will keep me aligned. #StarzUp

Detective #Pikachu showed me that a #Pokémon movie is actually possible. @Nintendo need to make this happen. Think of the possibilities of a PCU Pokémon Cinematic Universe. The toys and merch would fly off the shelves even more so.

If you come to the studio and think you’re gonna do what you’ve always done and get to where you haven’t been, then you’re in the wrong place, go somewhere else that doesn’t care about you or your music. Because when you’re here, you’re ending the session evolved.

I’ve worked with a lot of artists, and one thing I get told all the time is I’ve pushed them beyond what they thought they could do. I love this, because when I get to work it’s not just recording where you’re comfortable, it’s artist development.
