Mason McCaughtry earned a Brendan's Legacy Memorial Scholarship, in memory of AHS graduate, Brendan Santo. Mason said being captain of the Rochester United hockey team has taught him accountability and leadership. He will attend Central Michigan to become a nurse anesthetist.
The Trudy Karas Memorial Scholarship is awarded to Caroline Hoose, NHS scholar, Link Crew mentor, ASL Club vice president, lacrosse team captain, volleyball and basketball player, and community volunteer. She plans to study interior design and hopes to improve community spaces.
The Judith Freund Scholarship is awarded to Nicolas (Cole) Bowen, an Adams student who has overcome challenges and mentors classmates navigating diverse learning needs. Cole is also a skilled horseback rider. He will continue his education at the University of Michigan-Flint.
The entire men’s game-winning unit? Michigan. Women’s gold medal hero? Also Michigan. Yeah… they’re pretty serious about hockey up there 🇺🇸
