i've been conducting my dissertation interviews with black girls in middle school. one question i ask is where do they feel the most like they belong when at school. so many girls have mentioned the library, so i went to check it out with one participant.

@C3cosplay @BrookeEdu Agreed. Hopefully you work in a place where you can create a plan that meets a need, generate admin/colleague support, and see it come to fruition.

@MrTDecker @BrookeEdu Many educators don’t have the money to spend on items to create these places in the classroom and the districts will surely not be paying. This is not a teacher problem this is an administration problem. These spaces should be created by the admin and be funded by the district.

@BrookeEdu Please keep us posted on your research and dissertation status. This appears to be a fascinating study with huge implications for black MS girls and likely cross-connections to almost any demo group. This is valuable stuff. Thank you and good luck!!!
