2C English were making revision postcards from "The Lake Isle of Innisfree" by W.B. Yeats today. Some great designs & quotes represented in their work @jctEnglish They pasted them in their Collaboration Space & then practiced for their CBA1 by presenting them to the class #poetry

Just a few of the wonderful pieces created by 1D this week using magneticpoetry.com After studying "The Daffodils" by Wordsworth they were asked to create a poem about nature/happiness using less that 3 refreshes of the word bank. Definitely using this again! @jctEnglish

6th year analysing their three #Comparative texts. We created a honeycomb to link our texts together examining the GVV for the opening of a text. Red = The Handmaid's Tale, Yellow = Winter's Bone, Blue = Philadelphia, Here I Come! Green = Linking Language #EnglishLearning

1D continued their poetry journey learning about O-nom-a-top-oeia. They were challenged to come up with the A to Z of onomatopoeia in pairs and came up with some wonderful examples (X is always a hard one!😅) #English #Poetry #Onomatopoeia

1D jumped right into English at @ClaregalwayColl this week starting their poetry journey with Alien Alliteration! Some wonderful tongue twisters and designs. An alien lands on earth and goes crazy for objects beginning with the same first letter as their name! 🤪#English #Poetry

A wonderful day yesterday bringing all of the 3rd Years to see #RomeoandJuliet by the @NationalTheatre in the @PalasGalway. It was so simple but creative and engaging.👏 We had a great time relaxing in South Park afterwards playing football, cards and much more! @ClaregalwayColl
