California politicians just moved AB 1421 through the Assembly — a bill that orders the state to build a mileage tax system by 2027.
Not "study." Not "explore." Implement.
That means tracking every mile you drive — then taxing you for it.
On top of gas taxes.
On top of registration fees.
On top of sales taxes.
On top of local transportation taxes.
This is a commuter punishment aimed straight at working families who drive to work, drive their kids to school, and drive to pick up groceries.
Sound familiar? SANDAG tried this exact scheme right here in San Diego County. Residents found out. Commuters spoke up. Small businesses pushed back.
They backed down.
We stopped it once. We'll stop it again.

In a major police operation in the Las Palmas neighborhood of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivian authorities arrested Tatiana Verónica Marset Alba, a 22-year-old Uruguayan woman described as the half-sister (or stepsister, per some reports) of notorious Uruguayan drug trafficker Sebastián Enrique Marset Cabrera 34. The raid, which also led to the capture of Sebastián Marset himself (who was quickly extradited to the United States), resulted in the detention of Tatiana along with three other men: two Venezuelans and one Colombian (some reports mention four men total, but consistent accounts confirm additional foreign nationals alongside her). During the intervention at what authorities described as a "safe house" linked to Marset's criminal network, agents seized high-caliber firearms, including AK-47 rifles, pistols, ammunition, and other items like hyper-realistic silicone masks. The suspects now face charges related to illegal arms trafficking, possession of weapons, criminal association, and belonging to an organized crime group under Bolivian Law 400. The Public Ministry has formed a special team of prosecutors to handle the investigation. Tatiana Marset Alba has been ordered to six months of preventive detention and is being held in Palmasola prison. Authorities allege she played a role in the group's security and logistical operations. This development comes amid the broader dismantling of Marset's network, following his long international manhunt and transfer to U.S. custody on charges including cocaine trafficking and money laundering.

Seriously @ABC7? We're now talking about gas prices and blaming them on the war?
Do you really think Californians are that dumb?
The war only accounts for a small fraction of the cost. What about all the other nonsense gas taxes passed by this current administration in the middle of the night?
Smh, stop your propaganda machine and do your job.
Californians are tired of being lied to.
We need real journalism.

Enough is enough, wake up California! 🚨
When Gavin Newsom took office in January 2019, he inherited an incredibly strong fiscal position built by former Gov. Jerry Brown.
Here’s exactly what that looked like (and these are two separate things):
• A budget surplus of $21.4 billion — extra revenue projected to exceed planned spending, which could have gone to new programs, debt reduction, or reserves.
• On top of that, Jerry Brown had fully funded the Rainy Day Fund (Budget Stabilization Account) to $13.8 billion — the legal maximum under Proposition 2. This is a protected emergency reserve, NOT the same as the general surplus. Brown had also paid down nearly $30 billion in old debts and deficits to reach this point.
Together, that was the gift of real stability Newsom started with.
Today? That head start is gone. We’re facing recurring budget deficits in the tens of billions — with projections around $18 billion+ and no clear turnaround.
Quietly, more pain keeps getting piled on Californians:
• Cap-and-Trade extended through 2046 — pushing gas prices higher
• Automatic annual gas-tax hikes (now over 61 cents per gallon)
• New local sales taxes rolling out statewide
• Minimum wage jumping to $16.90/hour in 2026
• And the proposed 2026 “Billionaire Tax” ballot measure — a one-time 5% levy on billionaires’ net worth (critics warn it could open the door to future expansions hitting middle-class savings and retirement accounts)
Major companies are voting with their feet and leaving the state: Tesla, Oracle, Chevron (which just moved its headquarters to Texas in 2025), Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Charles Schwab and many more — taking jobs and tax revenue with them.
Even worse: Billions in taxpayer money can’t be accounted for. Government agencies and nonprofits routinely fail audits and can’t provide receipts or accurate records. The state spent $24 billion on homelessness programs — yet official audits show they couldn’t track where the money went or prove results. The EDD lost an estimated $20–33 billion to unemployment fraud. Multiple agencies have been flagged “high-risk” by the State Auditor for waste, improper payments, and mismanagement at the highest levels.
Meanwhile, our homeless crisis is still the worst in America — California has the nation’s largest unhoused population (~187,000 people) despite all that spending. Median home prices are pushing toward $905,000, locking families out and fueling the streets.
Enough is enough.
Californians are hardworking, innovative, and deserve far better. We need real accountability, smarter spending, actual housing built, and leadership that respects the strong foundation Jerry Brown left us.

Hahaha, tell me you know nothing without saying it. Have you ever walked or driven through Skid Row?
Pop-up tents and canopies everywhere offering cash to homeless people for signing up for different things like free phones, welfare, EBT, mailboxes, petitions, and voter registration.
I’m just surprised someone had the courage to record it and walked out of there alive lol.

@MrTrillo3 @JamesOKeefeIII Bitch please. Most people in the tenderloin just wondering about dope. They ain’t signing petitions, and they sure as fuck ain’t voting.

CALIFORNIA ELECTIONS FRAUD CASH FOR BALLOTS PART I: Homeless Bribed with Cash & Drugs In Exchange For Registering To Vote & Signing Election Petitions Caught On Tape Undercover On Skid Row In California.
“You can just put Pinocchio Lane.”
California NGOs Encourage Fake Addresses To Homeless People To Sign Petitions & Register Voters, A State & Federal Felony. Footage Shows 28 Instances Of Cash Changing Hands For Ballot Signatures & Voter Registration Forms. Many of the petitioners had no understanding of the petitions’ purpose they were advertising. Circulators also instructed individuals to use fake addresses. “Oh, you can just fake an address.”
Weingart Center, which received hundreds of millions in public funding, is on tape directing people to where the fraudulent petitioners are located, and directing homeless individuals to petitioners & coaching plausible deniability. “See they say ignorance is no excuse for the law. But a lot of times, I have to say ‘I didn’t know, I had no idea.’”
We encountered 28 instances of petitioners offering cash, cigarettes, and marijuana for signatures on petitions.
Weingart employees advised: “See they say ignorance is no excuse for the law. But a lot of times, I have to say ‘I didn’t know, I had no idea.’” All happening outside taxpayer-funded housing organizations. Weingart CEO earned $432,000 before resigning from the Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency.
James O’Keefe and the OMG Team went undercover on Skid Row, posing as homeless individuals. On hidden cameras, petitioners admitted they are paid $7–$10 per signature, sometimes earning $1,000 or more per day, collecting signatures from individuals with minimal knowledge of what they were signing.
“$7 a signature, $5 a signature, $10 a signature.”
“We gon’ give you $2.”
Populus Inc., a political consulting firm, was circulating petitions funded by @Uber, @Delta, @United, and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (@AHLA). On camera, one petitioner said, “We have one that taxes billionaires 5%. One-time tax. 5% and that’s gonna go towards healthcare.” Other petitions sought to overturn LA’s $30 minimum wage for hotel and airline workers.
Paying per signature and encouraging fake addresses violates federal and state election law and is proof of fraud happening in California.
Weingart employees were caught directing the homeless to the location of the petitioners and coaching them on plausible deniability. Intake coordinator Jason Warren told an undercover journalist exactly where and when to find them:
“Most time they be right across the street, under that tree… Monday through Friday.”
In 2016, nine individuals were arrested on Skid Row for exchanging cash and cigarettes for signatures; in 2019 they were charged on 14 counts under the exact same California Elections Code section.
Yet when confronted, nearby LAPD officers dismissed the activity as “a civil lawsuit.”
“Paying per signature violates state election law and is evidence of election fraud in California,” the investigation concludes. On Skid Row, we captured conduct on tape that violates Federal Law 52 U.S. Code §10307 and state law California Election Code §18603.
Part II coming soon.

I love how Newsom and his administration pretend they didn’t know this was happening on Skid Row.
It’s been a problem for years. This is how all or most propositions make it to the ballot in California overnight without any real tax-paying citizens signing or voting on them.
They’re not surprised it’s happening, but that they got caught.
