@BoxinHistorian Benavidez is actually a defensive minded fighter. American style for sure…..difference is he uses head movement and counters to close distance and destroy his opponents……while other american fighters just use their distance to stay out of range to get a decision win.
@b0xingfan Look at the difference in this fight. Zurdo does well and is able to think because the slow pace allows room for thought…….against benavidez, the monster, he takes that away. Like jason he stalks you with constant pressure and offense, giving you no time to think. 🔥
Zurdo Ramirez vs Chris Billam-Smith, round 9. Zurdo outboxes and beats up Billam-Smith to wins a unanimously decision & unify the WBA & WBO cruiserweight titles. November 16, 2024.
@PHOENIX_KDE That shit not real if you too scared to close distance and get in the pocket. Benavides closes the distance with his head movement and dishes out combos!! 🔥
See....
From saying Ray Robinson was ass...to comparing his performance with de Los Santos (lowest punches landed in a fight) to Floyd landing 199 punches in his win over Baldomir... I'm Starting to question when he say he's a student of the game.....
@runitupsum_more@RealFamilyCrete That was nasty, we are just not used to seeing a defensive minded fighter being in the pocket……..He uses his head movement as defense, while getting in range to dish out his punishment. 🔥
@RealFamilyCrete Good point!! Dude has no footwork, but is actually very defensive minded. His defense relies on head movement and counterattacks. Rather than footwork and distance control…….dude really gets in the pocket to dish out his offense! 🔥
@JayBoricuaboxeo@ZaZa813767@Sean_Zittel The level of mental gymnastics these people go to to attempt to prove he is not of mexican descent! Im american by all means, California born and raised, but it dont mean i dont connect with my Mexican roots. Proud of being both 🇺🇸 🇲🇽
@ZaZa813767@Sean_Zittel@ZaZa813767 Are you aware that around 37% of the total population of Arizona is composed of latinos of Mexican origin? Arizona is HEAVILY influenced by Mexican cultural tradition, gastronomy etc. Some of you fans are silly ignorant 🙃
One image I won’t forget: Gilberto Ramirez sitting down, seemingly accept his fate as a supporting actor as the Mariachi for Benavidez stand & performs in front of him.
The champion was introduced first & had to wait through the performance before the challenger took the stage.
