@BumpstockBarbie Our backyard is full of thornless blackberries . . . but ours aren't quite ready yet.

@smcroasters It always evaded me why people who quit drinking want something that tastes like what they used to drink too much of - only without the alcohol. Maybe go with the mixer instead? Tonic with lime on the rocks will probably give him that same vibe.

@Avonleebythesea 😂 I only remember a few things from there. Mom moved us to Tampa after I finished first grade. We lived across the street from the elementary school, so it was a short walk that first year.

@MrUntactical I was raised in the Columbia public library and zoo 😅

I remembered something randomly yesterday that happened when I was a kid. We lived on a dead end street in a little blue shingled house in a sleepy suburb of Columbia, South Carolina, that in retrospect had quite a lot going on. To the left of our house was the landlord, who was wealthy beyond belief because he had a swimming pool. He’d throw big neighborhood pool parties with barrels of boiled peanuts, beer, and country music. He was always nice to the neighborhood kids and I’d sometimes watch old movies in his air conditioned living room on the plaid couch with his grandson. Across the street from us was a single mom with seven kids, the youngest was a girl my age and the rest were boys. The house only had two bedrooms which the mom and daughter occupied. The boys slept in an old RV in the backyard fitted with bunk beds. I spent a lot of time in the long hot summers at her house which always had lucky charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal (we were a plain Cheerios and Raisin Bran only house). Her mom had crystals and read fortunes and was dating the landlord. She wore really short shorts and had platinum blonde hair, was obviously crazy but always sweet to me and once gave me one of her precious crystals which I treasured. We knew her and the landlord were having problems and one night woke up to the sound of gunshots. In the morning we learned that she’d found out he was cheating and had gone to his house during the night and shot him. Thankfully it was only in the leg and he decided not to press charges. Things just sort of went on as usual but she didn’t come to the pool parties anymore.

This is the truest thing I've seen on the Internet today.

@JDDawgWalker111 As learned as Paul was in the law, the prophets, etc. he didn't make it hard to understand.

Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

@smcroasters True story. This is a crazy movie. I've (gently) tried to talk about it with a couple family members who served in 'Nam. They couldn't, and I dropped it. I can't even imagine.

This list can’t be taken seriously at all.
It doesn’t have When We Were Soldiers on it.

1 Peter 3:15 ESV
but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,

@Avonleebythesea Mind and technique are huge, but I think physiology must play a role?

My 7yo daughter, who is currently obsessed with watching synchronized swimming, asked me what’s the longest anyone has held their breath so I looked it up expecting to find maybe 5 minutes, it’s actually 29 minutes and 3 seconds. I don’t know but that’s impressively insane. Really mind boggling what humanity is capable of when we set our minds to things.

@MadameAmerica Dang. Can you imagine? Still, I hope their tools aren't the same ones used in the 1300s. I'm just saying 🙂
I've held strong for a long, long time against getting a tattoo. But I might do it here.
