If you're keeping track, there's a great number of hilarious things wrong with the Book of Mormon. When Joseph Smith imagined his fictional tale, he didn't realize the names in the Holy Bible actually meant something in Hebrew. The names he came up with largely do not. 😂

I am an atheist and an anti-theist. I do not believe in any gods, and I see no convincing evidence that any exist. I believe humans often underestimate their own capacity for empathy, reason, and collective growth. The existence of countless, conflicting deities across cultures reinforces my skepticism. It suggests that gods are human constructs shaped by time, geography, and social needs—not evidence of a single universal creator. I am critical of religion, particularly because of its historical and ongoing role in enforcing patriarchal systems and limiting women’s autonomy. While individuals may find comfort or identity in religion, I believe its institutional power has often come at the cost of equality, freedom, and critical thinking. My stance is not just disbelief—it is an active rejection of ideologies that place unquestionable authority above human well-being and progress.

And like clockwork you shift goalpost. You dedicated a full paragraph to argue that, in and of themselves, disparate accounts of deity prove that none exists. That’s a stand-alone argument that’s patently fallacious. But I can help you. Imagine police are called to a house party because people heard a loud disturbing noise. They interview everyone and get numerous different accounts: some say it was a human scream, others say it was a wild animal, others say it must have been a reving engine, and they even disagree about where it came from and exactly how long it lasted. Should the police conclude therefore that there actually was no disturbance because of the conflicting accounts? Or should they attribute the differences to unique human perspectives of the same phenomenon? Bottom line, there are serious arguments for atheism, but that one is ridiculous.
