Something special is happening at Alcovy High School!
Newton County Schools, in partnership with Goodr and Amazon, has opened a new on-campus grocery store to support Alcovy students and their families. The Goodr Grocery Store at @Ahs06_tigers provides free monthly access to fresh, healthy food—right where students learn.
This community-driven effort is helping remove barriers, strengthen families, and ensure that every student is supported—mind, body, and heart.

Alcovy High School marketing teacher Dr. Quinita Morrow served as guest speaker for today’s Kiwanis Club of Covington meeting — her first official speaking engagement as Newton County Schools’ 2026 Teacher of the Year!
Dr. Morrow shared insights about her role as a marketing educator and how Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) courses empower students with real-world skills that prepare them for college, careers, and life beyond high school.

Yesterday, our 2026 Newton County Schools Teacher of the Year, Dr. Quinita Morrow of Alcovy High School, received the keys to a new Ford Bronco, courtesy of Covington Ford. She’ll be driving in style for the next three months, free of charge!
