@TLNdc Nylander is an exceptional hockey talent but he plays only when it suits him and not the team. He is not the type of player you want setting an example. They need to move him even if it means getting nothing in return. He attitude and character deserve an F.

@AdamWylde It’s really starting to become quite clear that the Leafs are a far more inferior team without Marner. Not only was he their offensive point leader, he was their best defensive forward as well, not to mention the QB for their PP and leader on the PK.

So - the Leafs can't do really any defending through the neutral zone. Which makes it hard to get any pucks to the forwards... Which has me asking - was the biggest subtraction on this team Lane Lambert?

Again - what are the Leafs? What do they do? The goalie gave a cry for help and the crease is still open season. They can't generate offence. Not a physical molecule in the lineup. Awful to watch.

@walsha There is some correlation between championships and team spending. Since 1995 20 of the 29 teams to win a World Series ranked in the top 10 of MLB in opening day payroll with 6 more being in the top ½. Only 1 team has won being in the bottom 10 and that was over 20 years ago.

The MLBPA has always vehemently opposed a salary cap, which serves more as a tool to increase franchise values than to lessen the game's large disparity between high- and low-spending teams.
