Fresh developments have emerged in the case against Brown Mogotsi. His criminal matter has been postponed to 3 August after the defence was provided with video footage allegedly linked to the claimed staged shooting incident. The State alleges the footage shows Mogotsi firing at his own vehicle in Vosloorus in November 2025 before falsely reporting that he had survived an assassination attempt. He faces charges including perjury, defeating the ends of justice, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, and discharging a firearm in public. Prosecutors also rely on eyewitness testimony, CCTV footage and the alleged absence of other vehicles at the scene. @pule_jones
