I bought sand from Chinese men and signed a receipt written in Chinese. I was running a construction project and needed sharp sand urgently. Went to the dredging site. Sand being pumped straight from the river in large quantities. I asked who owned the operation. Chinese men bought the land. The river included. Our river. Our sand. Their business. I asked for the price. We agreed. Then they handed me a receipt. Written entirely in Chinese. I said I cannot sign what I cannot read. They said drop the sand and collect your refund. I needed that sand badly. I signed. They released the sand. I sat in my car thinking about this country.

I’ll never understand why women make posts like this, because personally as a woman I have been a beneficiary and I am still a beneficiary of the kindness of men. All the superior police and military officers who help me get justice for my clients are MEN. My favorite gateman who doesn’t mind packing my dogs poo poo daily because I always pay him in addition to his salary and I always provide food for him is a MAN. All the times I’ve had car issues, MEN help for free. In the market when I am visibly struggling with heavy bags, MEN and BOYS always offer to help. My life is literally stress free because I have reliable men I can call on for stressful things. Errand person na man My driver na man (person wey fit stay parking lot in heat from 9am to 6pm because I am inside station fighting for freedom). In fact loans. If I need loans above 100k, my most reliable sources are my male friends (and I refund them whether in bits/installments or at once in bulk). My gender will have the money but will rather die than loan a fellow woman 50k. You’ll hear things like “my bank app is bad”, “ehennn we aren’t really close”, but man go simply ask you when you go repay. Maybe start associating with good men or become a good person so that you attract good men to you.
