My dear @PeterObi, there is no need for this merry-go-round. It is dishonest to take your faithful supporters through this emotional roller-coaster and deceive them that you are running for the Presidency when in fact you have just joined a Party belonging solely to Atiku Abubakar @atiku and you have a firm agreement with him to run as Vice-Presidential candidate. I acknowledge your constitutional right to belong to any Party of your choice, agree to anything and even do a volte-face and join the ‘structure of criminality’, but don’t be dishonest to Nigerians and take them for a ride. Some say that is the game of politics; yes, it is, but simply acknowledge that it is pure politics you’re playing and jettison all these rhetoric that portray you as operating from some moral high ground or some principled position. Your greatest fall from your supposed grace to grass will come when you release your worst kept secret statement of why you have accepted to be a VP candidate after the forthcoming ADC comical primaries. You went through all those troubles of leaving PDP in 2023 and joining Labour Party and building a whole movement just to prove a point to Atiku that you are good enough to be his running mate and no other person. Sad. Really sad. Some of your supporters jump out of their skins when we criticise you, but your character deserves public scrutiny because you seek very high office, so we shall continue to expose you. The greatest fraud you are now conjuring is to give hope to your supporters till the last minute when you will announce your decision to be VP candidate with the hope that it would be too late for them to leave you and then attempt to sway them to support one of the ‘structures of criminality’. However, Nigerians will teach you a bitter lesson in 2027; they are no fools. Mark it down. Some say we are responding to developments in the opposition out of ‘fear’. We laugh. Fear? They really wish we keep mute about our potential opponents? Seriously? No, we shall beam the searchlight on you too as you do on us. Let Nigerians decide; let the game begin. But, pray, who is more afraid and desperate than a man and his supporters who crawl and beg for a Vice-Presidential ticket after parading you as the winner of a previous Presidential election? You want to be Vice-President to the person you previously ‘defeated’? This is all so comical! Finally, when Nigerians speak in 2027, Atiku and Obi will realise that they made the worst demographic calculations in their entire lives based on the 2023 Presidential Election results. In due course, I will explain this in more detail to Nigerians. #WaitingForTheVPCandidateStatement.

A Call for Unity and a New Nigeria Today in Enugu, I was joined by distinguished leaders and associates, including former Governors Okwesili Nwodo of Enugu State, Achike Udenwa and Sam Egwu of Ebonyi State, as well as Emeka Ihedioha from Imo State. Notable senators present included Enyinnaya Abaribe, Victor Umeh, Tony Nwoye, and Gilbert Nnaji. Additionally, we had prominent political figures such as High Chief Ben Obi, Chief Onyema Ugochukwu, Prof. Pat Utomi, Prof. Osita Ogbu, Chief Ralph Nwosu, and others, alongside various members of the Federal House of Representatives and State House of Assembly, as well as community leaders. This historic political gathering also featured distinguished individuals from outside the Igbo community, led by ADC National Chairman and former Senate President David Mark, as well as Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, the former Governor of Sokoto State, and former Governor of Edo State, Senator Oserheimen Osunbor. We came together to reaffirm the urgent need for leadership and a government that can truly appreciate Nigeria’s potential, unify our diversity, and drive rapid socio-economic transformation and inclusive development. In my speech, I emphasized that Nigeria's challenges do not stem from a lack of potential. We are abundantly endowed with human and natural resources. Our tragedy arises from the deliberate sabotage by a political class that exploits the country and its people. We are not poor; we have been looted into poverty. The existing system rewards mediocrity, punishes merit, and recycles failure. Nigeria is suffocating under impunity and greed, with a government that rewards illegalities and corruption. What we need is genuine, patriotic change—not mere cosmetic makeovers. I made it clear that the time to act is now. The choice before us is between continuing the cycle of decay or embracing the courage to disrupt entrenched corruption and formalized criminality in governance. I have visited every corner of Nigeria, including internally displaced persons (IDP) camps neglected by the government. From North to South, East to West, Nigerians are feeling insecurity and despair. This cannot define our legacy. For the sake of the hungry, the poor, and future generations, we must dismantle the structures that are destroying our nation. A New Nigeria is possible. I reaffirmed that with unity and effective leadership, agriculture and manufacturing can become the highest contributors to our GDP. We can transition Nigeria from a state of consumption to one of production, tackling issues such as insecurity, corruption, unemployment, inflation, and illiteracy. A productive, inclusive Nigeria is achievable. To build lasting unity and prosperity, we need honest, transparent, and responsive leadership. Our generation is tasked with creating a new framework for unity and progress. Many nations have succeeded; Nigeria can excel even more. This is a time for unity and national renewal. I called on my leaders, associates, supporters, the Obidient Movement, and members of opposition parties across the country to join a broad coalition under the African Democratic Congress, led by Senator David Mark. This coalition is guided by patriotism and the national interest. Nigeria deserves leadership that unites, governs with empathy, and delivers real results. Let history record that Nigeria’s turning point begins here and now. Together, with courage, unity, and resolve, we can build a new, productive, and inclusive Nigeria. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

STATEMENT FROM THE LABOUR PARTY LABOUR PARTY FINALLY LIBERATED BY PETER OBI'S DEFECTION ... As Party asks forgiveness from Nigerians for fielding unfitting presidential candidate in 2023 The leadership of the Labour Party took note of the defection of its 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi and a few of his supporters to the African Democratic Congress, ADC. We also took note of the lacklustre speech Mr. Obi made at the occasion, and wondered what new he intends to sell to Nigerians. For us in Labour Party, we wondered why it took them this long to make the move because we have since September 2024, parted ways with Peter Obi and some of his blind supporters in the National Assembly. We have patiently waited for this day. The party is finally liberated by this defection and as Party leaders, we count it as a blessing. It will be on record that the leadership of the Labour Party had since urged Obi and his disgruntled followers to exit the party if they were unable to work with the leadership of the party. As a matter of fact, the party had suspended many of the lawmakers for anti party and was clearly going to mete the same treatment on the Presidential Candidate but for the intervention of some well meaning Nigerians. The crisis we had in Labour Party was caused by Peter Obi and the Abia state governor, Dr. Alex Otti. It was them that sponsored the insurrection against the Julius Abure leadership. We had also expected Governor Otti to follow Obi out of the party. We are surprised that even though he has been suspended from the party, he is still loitering around. It is still not too late for him to follow his political leader. The party also warned that the charade which took place today in Enugu was largely boycotted by prominent political and traditional institutions in the South East. All we saw were mere political spent forces who cannot win in their wards should there be an election today. This is clearly a danger signal that the Obi presidency (or Vice Presidency) is already a failed project from inception. He has clearly lost the charm that had endeared him to the people prior 2023. He must be told that the South East lost out completely in the President Ahmed Tinubu's government because they trusted and believed in him in 2023. While some states of the federation boast as much as five ministers, the entire states in the South East was given a paltry five ministerial slot. The marginalization against the zone has continued even in infrastructure allocation and I wonder if the Southeast will repeat the same political harakiri again. Finally, we urge Nigerians to watch out for the Labour Party. We gave Nigerians a candidate we thought was good for the nation in 2023, but time has since proved that we made the greatest political mistake. We plead for forgiveness from Nigerians. We are already working out the best prospect that we hope will bring Nigeria back to its glorious days. Sign Obiora Ifoh National Publicity Secretary Labour Party 31/12/2025

God will punish Peter Obi and his Obidients for always trying to mislead and deceive Nigerians after being a total failure for 8 years as Governor of Anambra state. Finally, the chicken is coming home to roost: I understand that someone, somewhere has drafted and redrafted the statement he will release to hoodwink his ‘supporters’ on why he has accepted to be Vice-Presidential candidate after a primaries that he knows has long been concluded. He has written and torn drafts upon drafts, containing the normal gibberish of ‘my desire to rescue Nigeria’, bla, bla bla. It’s a tough one for him, but we are excited at the prospect of unmasking a true turncoat and a fraud at the coming campaigns. (See the comments after this tweet to identify those whose raw nerves have been seriously affected). Please, bookmark this tweet so we can all read his statement with some derision when it is eventually released.

THE U.S.A IS NOT IN NIGERIA TO PROTECT BLACK CHRISTIANS .IT IS HERE FOR STRATEGIC DOMINATION. By Chief Malcolm Emokiniovo Omirhobo . Let us stop deceiving ourselves. The United States of America is not interested in the lives of Black Christians in Northern Nigeria. If it were, it would have pressured the Nigerian government to identify, arrest, and prosecute the sponsors, enablers, and financiers of terrorism, not merely drop bombs and walk away. The real interest of the U.S. is geostrategic control. Nigeria is being positioned as a military launchpad for Western-backed regime-change operations against Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, countries rich in gold, uranium, and other strategic minerals now slipping out of Western control. This has nothing to do with Christianity. This has nothing to do with humanitarian concern This has everything to do with resources, power, and influence. History is repeating itself. Africa is once again being dragged into proxy wars that serve foreign interests, while Africans pay the price in blood, instability, and long-term subjugation. It is tragic and dangerous that President Tinubu, for personal and political gain, is aligning Nigeria with this agenda and aiding the re-colonisation of Africa through military and economic coercion. When the dust settles, the U.S. will leave just as it left Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya and Nigeria will be left to deal with the blowback: deeper insecurity, ethnic tension, religious polarisation, and a weakened sovereignty. Nigeria does not need foreign bombs. Nigeria needs justice, accountability, and the political will to confront terrorism at its roots. Africa must wake up. Nigeria must refuse to be used.
