I have been missing the old Twitter so much! I loved being able to showcase things happening in my classroom, get ideas from other educators, see what’s going on in my school/district, and engage with music educators around the world. What are people using now???

MPS Middle School Jazz Festival continued this afternoon with wonderful clinic sessions for woodwind, brass, and rhythm sections. Ended with a great performance by the @mwwildcatband Jazz Band!🎷 Thank you hosts, @MPS_Kiewit! @MPSAndersenMS @MPS_Beadle @mps_russell @north_middle

Was sad to learn that only one of these amazing @BlackElkEagles musicians is going to AMS next year 😢 but I’m enjoying my time with them now! New note today and they are rocking it!

This class of 11 percussionists at @UpchurchElem is doing great things! Can’t wait to see them on the @m_south_hs drumline and frontline in a few years!!

Started my morning with these 7th graders who asked for help with high notes on the clarinet. Love their drive to improve!

Our 8th grade Cyclones along with @MPSAndersenMS had the opportunity to perform with the @MSHS_Bands at the game tonight! #FuturePatriots

Such an amazing morning of @MSHS_Bands foundations band camp! I love that I get to work with the drum majors this year and help them lay a strong FOUNDATION for the season!

My daughter wasn’t chosen as a captain for something but told me they did use an idea of hers. She learned an important lesson- you don’t need a title to lead. Lead first and titles will come.
