P6T had a fantastic time in PE today! 🤸‍♂️

P6T have thoroughly enjoyed participating in Samba music lessons over the past 2 weeks. We have been learning about all of the different types of drums and the sounds they make as well as the origins of the music.🎶 🇧🇷 🪘

Before the February break, P6T had the opportunity to dress up in the colours of a country. Safe to say that P6T looked FABULOUS! 🌍 They had a special guest come and visit and help teach us about Spanish food and drink. Thank you to all who helped out! 🇪🇸

WOW! P6T have had great fun today in PE working with different apparatus, practicing different types of movement and agility. #gymnastics 🤸‍♂️🏃

P6T had a lovely time today at the local library. We got to enjoy listening to audiobooks, building towers, and making jigsaws. It was wonderful to see so many students engage with different types of books and experience borrowing books from the library! ☺️📚📖

Today in P6T, we showcased our most recent pieces of published writing. We then provided feedback to our peers before voting to decide which pieces would feature on our ‘Published Writers’ wall this week. ✏️📝📚

A small regulation break during our numeracy lesson today. The students love to dance to “Timber” and today was no different. It is always fun to start a Monday morning on our feet and moving about! 😁

P6T are continuing their gymnastics block, focusing on creating sequences of 3 second holds. They have been very creative and unique, each creating a personalised sequence.

This week, P6T had our first gymnastics session of the Term. We were looking at static positions, holding them for 3 seconds. The students loved coming up with different holds and positions to demonstrate their understanding!

Today in P6T, we continued to explore to structural components and language features of informative texts. We enjoyed working in pairs and using highlighters to show our understanding. We will be creating our own informative texts on Robert Burns tomorrow. 📝🌟

Our Gift Room opens tomorrow! P6T has worked really hard this term designing and creating their crafts. Here are some students showcasing what they have made! 🎄🎅

Over the last three weeks, P6T have been taking part in the @StModansML S6 Spanish Project 🇪🇸. We meet on Google Meet alongside other schools and learn Spanish together! We get to show our knowledge through games like Kahoot and get VERY excited when we WIN! 🎉🏆#InItToWinIt

P6T have had a great time making their Art pieces this week! They have been using various styles and techniques in order to make their work POP! 🎉🎨

“Do we begin celebrating Christmas too early?” P6 debated this very question today, during our Talking and Listening lesson today. Students got to debate their point of view and take part in a vote to see what the class thinks. The results… NO! Let the Xmas songs start now!

In P6T, we like to dance during our regulation break. Today was a firm favourite. “The Wiggle Dance!”

Today in Art we were learning all about the Pop Art movement. We learned about the role Pop Art plays in advertising and plan to transfer our learning as we continue to work on our enterprise projects. We will make sure we share our finished work. #SnapshotJotterWeek 🙂🌟

A few snapshots from today’s ‘31 Minutes’! P6T love spending their time showing off their imaginations, creating beautiful pieces of art and giant sculptures. Others enjoy taking the time to rest and relax in the Library, enjoying some low sensory activities! 😌🎨🖌️

HOUSE MEETINGS Iona House gathered to discuss various topics surrounding the issue of poverty. It was wonderful to see conversations take place across the year groups with plenty of learning taking place. ☺️
