Today we had the pleasure of author Chris Grabenstein visiting Aloma ES and doing an amazing presentation for our students. The kids love his books and were so excited to hear him speak. A special shout out to our amazing Media Specialist Ellen Mask for putting this together.

I loved visiting Mrs. Muir's 1st grade class and seeing these kiddos so engaged using the Spike Lego kits provided by the OCPS Science team. It's so cool to see them build and code their designs to make them move. @JillAdcock_OCPS @OcpsEast @AlomaElem

Couldn't imagine starting winter break any other way. On Friday after students were dismissed our amazing coach Clark got staff members to meet and celebrate starting break by creating a TikTok video. A ton of laughter and fun went into this. I love my teachers. @OcpsEast

Wrapped up the week with a spark of creativity with ornament decorating and a special delivery with our hot cocoa cart to our staff! It was such a nice festive week! @AlomaElem @DrFritzler_OCPS

We have been spreading holiday cheer to our staff all week. My favorite day every year is when we make pancakes for our staff. This is a great bonding moment full of laughter for my team while we serve all of our fabulous teachers and staff. @DrFritzler_OCPS @OcpsEast @AlomaElem

Yesterday, Aloma had our fun run as part of our Boosterthon event! The kids had a blast and they raised $18,000 towards new playground/recess equipment. Way to go eagles! A special shout out to our fabulous PTA for all their hard work! @AlomaPta @DrFritzler_OCPS @AlomaElem

I got to share our school improvement plan goals for the year with our SAC today. I also had a chance to share our data and where we are so far in meeting those goals. @OcpsEast @DrFritzler_OCPS

Got my 1st grade writing buddy journals yesterday. I am so excited to be their pen pal this year. I can't wait to learn more about them and inspire a love of writing. @OcpsEast @DrFritzler_OCPS

When you have the best guidance counselor and PE coach, morning car line is a blast! Not only were they helping promote our Boosterthon but they also welcomed students to school with a dance party! @AlomaPta @DrFritzler_OCPS @OcpsEast

We had our first All Pro Dad meeting this morning at Aloma, and the turn out was amazing!Wonderful conversations were had between students and their dads. Then I got to meet my two writing buddies from 1st grade. I can't wait to be their school pen pal.@OcpsEast @DrFritzler_OCPS
