Thank you Grace and Grounds for our fabulous treat this morning! Thank you to our parents and community members that helped give our staff the gift of coffee this morning @FranklinLocal ⚡️💙💛
Listening to Temple Grandin talk about the connection between animals and autism in the classroom is eye-opening! Her insights remind me how important it is to create spaces that support individual needs for a better classroom #InclusiveClassrooms
🎨🐄🥓 To wrap up our animal products unit, we brought "Breakfast on the Farm" to "Breakfast in the Classroom" by cooking and enjoying some delicious products we studied. 🥞🍳 It’s been a fun, hands-on way to connect classroom lessons with real-life skills!
Caden Wagner and Brooklyn Tedrick, who are VoAg students from our school gave an impressive presentation highlighting our agricultural program, showcasing the new high tunnel. They did an awesome job leaving a strong impression of our VoAg program's value and goals.
We are finally 2 full weeks in and we are starting to get our hands dirty. These boys had a hefty task of weeding a garden bed and have been busy germinating seeds that were left behind to see if they are viable. 🌱
FLCS ag class got hands on experience with what it takes to process chickens. These chickens were raised from a day old and will be served at our end of the year dinner next week!

FLCS Ag students are learning about parts of beef. Since it’s 70 degrees and sunny we traded pencils and paper for pavement and chalk☀️

FLCS Ag students got their chick shipment yesterday. They will use OSU curriculum to track and record growth, expenses and more. At the end the grown meat chickens will be proccessed and consumed at family night.

The FLCS agriculture students used their creative and adventurous minds to create grave blankets from scratch. These blankets went to one of their fellow students as well as a community member who was a previous Philo student.

Last year these kids hatched chicks and learned the requirements for early stages of life. Now, those same students are learning the needs for hens in production. These students made their own “flock block” to enhance egg production and keep the hens enriched during the winter.
Shattering stereotypes, inspiring innovation! Let's celebrate and empower girls in STEM – where curiosity meets limitless potential.
Always a great day to help remember our WHY @AppSTEMCollab
Yesterday the Ag students transplanted their small plants from under the grow lights into the greenhouse they built themselves. We are excited to see what works and what needs work in our design. #BuildingTheCulture
Excited for our future. Building our AG program more and more everyday. New Chicken Coop arrived. Thank you @theenergycoop Operation Round Up for funding our new coop. #FLCS#buildingtheculture
