Meet my co-teacher for math class today! Between classes, she asked to solve the model problem with me so she could provide a tape diagram model for our students on the main board. I love seeing students challenging themselves to communicate in front of audiences! @Eastgate6NKC

Chess is such a great way to practice so many Portrait of a Graduate skills outside of our content. They are communicating, adapting, problem-solving, and they have a learner’s mindset! We love to see it! @Eastgate6NKC @NKCSchools

How great is it that one of our parents is a children’s book illustrator and volunteered her time to meet and confer with our 6th grade authors/illustrators?! @Eastgate6NKC

Our @Eastgate6NKC 6th graders successfully completed their first empathy interviews with the 4th graders at @MaplewoodElemen yesterday! We can’t wait to start drafting our picture books for you all! #DesignThinking

Letting students choose how to present their learning/growth rather than requiring one specific way has been one of my favorite things this year! I had students making blookets, flash cards, videos, skits, models, and presentations all about waves! @Eastgate6NKC #Microschools
