@TeachMrDolan We do romans so make shields and then go outside and use them to create different battle techniques. We also write a letter to our future selves with string measures to their current height which I keep and give back to them at end of year. They love opening them

£400-500 for a dental crown and that’s on the NHS. I will have spent a total of 25 mins in dentist chair by the time it’s fitted. How can it be this expensive? How can the manufacturing cost be so high?

@zasaadi @lifeatthenest And the technician doesn’t have electricity, materials, disinfection, sterilisation, rent, staff? The manufacturer is the technician! Who also deserves a wage. When a technician charges £100 or less for a denture and dentist charges £400+ it is not the manufacture’s cost

@m_chiles This is too true for many (my daughter included.) parents evening is also fun, half the teachers haven’t a clue who she is and some have even spoken about different children. There are some teachers though that see these children and are worth their weight in gold

In my experience of working in secondary schools over 17 years behaviour and rewards policies miss a core group of students for recognising their consistently good behaviour. A student who just gets on with their work and always follows the school behaviour system can go without recognition because staff are distracted by dealing with poor behaviour. What I’ve also seen is the opposite where students who don’t follow school rules are often rewarded when they follow the basic expectations. Behaviour and reward policies should just be followed consistently for ALL students.
