Year 5 began their music lesson today listening to a piece of music, paying attention to detail. We then discussed different notes and their lengths and practised playing these notes on the glockenspiel @MabLaneMusic @MabLanePri

In music this week, year 5 have been learning a new song, looking in particular at different note lengths. We are doing so well with our singing @MabLaneMusic @MissRomanoMLP @MabLanePri @MrsBriggsMLP

Yesterday during music, Y5 listened to a song and created a visual map of how the song sounds. The children then improvised their own piece of music using their voices and bodies, creating their own hieroglyphs @MabLanePri @MrsBriggsMLP @MrsColemanMLP @MabLaneMusic

We had a lovely visit from @LivZoesPlace this afternoon and we got to post our competition entries for the new mascot too! 💛🐻 @MabLanePri @MrsGillardMLP

Year 4 was transformed into a Times Table Boot Camp today 🪖 we registered this morning and got ourselves ready for a busy day! 📢💪🏼 @MabLanePri @MrsGillardMLP @MrMorganMLP @MrMurrayMLP

Challenge #1 💪🏼✨ A special delivery from @MrsRogersMLP meant we spent some time working in pairs to solve multiplication word problems ✖️🪖✨ @MabLanePri @MrsGillardMLP @MrMurrayMLP

Final Challenge! 😱🪖 For all their hard work it was time for the Year 4s to get some payback 💪🏼✖️💧 The children competed against each other and being the fastest meant they could throw a water balloon at their teacher!! @MabLanePri @MrMorganMLP @MrsGillardMLP @MrMurrayMLP

Students from Y3 and Y4 enjoyed a visit to St George’s hall today for a lovely performance of ‘George and the Dragon’ in celebration of St George’s Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 We also had a wonderful experience being shown the hall organ by Professor Ian Tracey, we even got to have a turn playing!
