Remember,sometimes the children that challenge you the most are the ones that see you as their safest person in school.They are the ones that are really starting to worry about moving to a new class.They are the ones who need a chat on the side to reassure them it will all be ok.

@Miss_Webb_ I went on mat leave in the October, took SPL for Easter/May half term & returned to work properly on the 1st day of the summer hols. You can return to work whenever - doesn’t have to be when others are in & there is no requirement for you to go back before the summer to be paid😊

Going on maternity leave in Oct, was planning to return the following Sept to start the year but someone has suggested returning in July to be paid over the summer? Has anyone got any advice or suggestions on what is best? Feels such a big decision before baby is even here!

As Y6 teacher and parent of a Y6 child this hits home! To all the amazing 10 and 11 year old children … do your best! SATs do not define you! You are all superstars in your own rights! ❤️❤️❤️

60% of our children don’t speak English at home; some came in boats, or the boots of cars. Some have been evicted, living on food parcels. Next week we will have statutory tests and our outcomes will be compared to the most affluent, stable and resourced schools in the country.
