Every now and then you leave a place and you know it was special. That is how I felt after leaving Forest Hills School’s in Ohio today. They inspired me to want to be better. When a school opens its doors to you and the staff gives you their time and attention, you just hope you can share something of value that will inspire them to keep going.
From the moment I arrived I was not only greeted in the parking lot by staff who escorted me in, every staff member I encountered (you know who you are), embraced (hugs) me in such a kind and caring way that I felt like family. It was red carpet treatment all the way. But what made it even more special is that the district put the kids at the center of the day with nine (9) students in grades 3-12 giving mini keynotes prior to having me speak, honoring their teachers and the impact they have made on them during their time in school. What an incredible tribute it was to all staff. And a very hard act to follow if I may add.
To all of my new friends, in Forest Hills, I applaud you and moving forward, remember, I got you! Keep inspiring! Blessings!
