@BioLayne What do you want to tell me? I have receipts that my food and water intake were identical before and on glp-1s. The 4 stone I’ve lost since being on shows the difference….

Them: "I ate in a calorie deficit but didn't lose weight!" Also them: "I took a GLP-1 and finally lost the weight!" Who is going to tell them? Should I tell them????

@MrsHoopDiddy Hi - looking at our system, this train has left at 12:19 and 43 seconds - to ensure punctuality, doors close 30 seconds before departure - once closed the train can depart. Sorry that you have missed your train ^KJ

@Se_Railway just missed our train because your guard at Charing Cross let it go early. Poor show.

@NSome1ne Oh hey, I also live with my husband and guess what, we sometimes sit separately because we want to watch different things. That’s pretty normal 😅

🕳️ THEY LIVE TOGETHER? #KateMiddleton doesn't know how her husband drinks his coffee, and he didn't know that his wife watched MasterChef last night. He was so flabbergasted by her claim that he said, 'No way.' (First vid.) But hey, according to the BM, they are closer....

For any teacher or school staff member of over 15 years, what’s the biggest difference about teaching now to when you first started?

@quiggdavid1406 @ICT_MrP I almost missed my brother’s wedding because of this. Ended up begging to take it unpaid. I was lucky my parents were able to subsidise!

@ICT_MrP Even little things like lots of people get married midweek these days, let teachers have a few days off for special things like this. Otherwise they just phone in sick and leave the school to scramble around for cover in the morning

On Loose Women today they were talking about teachers having a bit more flexibility despite the holidays. We’re living in a world where more and more jobs are hybrid, flexible and built around real life. Teaching is one of the few professions that hasn’t moved with the times.

@KarenLDukes @superwitch66 @PeteUK7 This thinking is exactly what is wrong with the NHS. There was a time when nurses cared and knew what was going on on their wards. Now it’s all bank staff who couldn’t care less and too many people sat in ivory towers controlling from afar with no clue.

@superwitch66 @MrsHoopDiddy @PeteUK7 There’s zero problem with him asking, just going online and blaming them all for not knowing when he had an alternative and chose not to take it? He still didn’t take the alternative even when he got the wrong answer.

My mum still in hospital. I have reported on the terrible air quality and lack of respiratory protection but I was unprepared for what happened on tonight's visit. For the 40th time, I visit the ward she's on. As I walk in, nurse says "you know your mum isn't here, right?" 1/🧵

@KarenLDukes @PeteUK7 Are you ok? His mum was in hospital and they moved her without telling him. Why should he then have to ring an admissions team to find out where she is? Nurses should know where their patients are going/are when they arrive! It’s basic human care!

@PeteUK7 Pete, sorry for your angst, but your post reads as if the staff were supposed to put your inability to ring the admissions team to locate your mum as their problem and solve it for you. The NHS is being overwhelmed, patient visitors need to just step up a little.

@soppystern Totally get the second part - that’s mental! Accompanying on open days though, I’m afraid I will be that parent because I also want to know where they’re going, what’s on offer and bluntly what I’ll be getting for my money! Once they’ve chosen, they’re on their own though…

I find it exhausting that university applicants now tend to bring their parents with them to university open days (generally encouraged to do so by the universities). But, while I was delivering a recent training course to one university team, one of the participants explained that, six weeks into the current term, they have a student whose mother is accompanying them to every single lecture and seminar. We have lost the plot.

@jaydbint Unfortunately this is commonplace. My dad presented to a&e with severe back pain, numbness, could barely stand - sent home saying bilateral sciatica. We paid for a scan and they found a large NH Lymph tumour crushing his spine. Now left with perm nerve damage.

I really hope that this was just a case of miscommunication between the patient and the person at the A+E reception that day and maybe they didn't read my letter. I only posted this because It's just scary to think that someone in A+E saw these symptoms and discharged them home.

@amymayforrester He does have a point though. Teacher training is not up to scratch for today’s cohorts and leaves new teachers woefully underprepared to support additional needs. I constantly battle schools in my role, and the main feedback I get is ‘I don’t have the training for this!’
