The sweetest surprise from a student I had two years ago 🥹 “People will forget what you said…but people will never forget how you made them feel” #mywhy@fernbrooknj@mbernal_DrB@hetal_amin1
Today we celebrated Grinch Day! 💚 After reading the book, we discussed character traits of The Grinch & wrote how we would make The Grinch grin! Students noticed that all of our examples were great acts of kindness for us to show others. ❤️ @mbernal_DrB@hetal_amin1@fernbrooknj
Engineers hard at work! Today we made predictions & then tested out if the shape of a tool makes a difference. Students were tasked with picking up as many macaroni noodles as possible in 15 seconds using chopsticks & then with a spoon! @mbernal_DrB@hetal_amin1@fernbrooknj

Nothing beats the sweet sound of first graders using their decoding skills as they sound out words and read some of their favorite books! Their reading muscles are growing stronger and stronger everyday! 💪🏼#proudteacher@fernbrooknj@KatherineTThorn
This week we created our own heart maps and decorated our writing folders with photos of special memories, traditions & important people in our lives to motivate and inspire future writing opportunities! @fernbrooknj@KatherineTThorn@RandolphSchools
