I love this BUNCH! Class Winter Cards are here and I am so excited!! Our Brady Bunch themed card was perfect for a year of ZOOM and social distancing. We even included a surprise QR code for that extra Brady pizzazz!

@shaferkshaferk Thanks! No app! I did a Live Photo of each student on my phone and changed it to bounce mode. Then used unscreen.com to remove the backgrounds of the gifs. I put it all together on google slides. 😊

It only take a second to retweet a post, but it’s only one side of a story. We explored multiple perspectives & social media. Ss read tweets & posted reactions. Then read the backstories. Some felt guilty & embarrassed. We discussed how quickly judge, and the need for empathy.

@StaceyHamamura @teach3tech Haha. Mine are on and off all day! The first day I had all 33 on. Today, I ranged 20-30 depending on the time of day. I also get more in the morning, and less in the afternoon.

Virtual BOOK TASTING! I love book tastings and wasn’t about to let a little distance stop us! I used slides for virtual genre tables and Epic! to create a collection of books for the students to “taste”. Add in some snacks, bistro music, and a virtual background! #makeitwork

Let the learning re-ZOOM! I have 30 tabs open on my computer, even more open in my brain. A check list that I add to more than check off. A stomach that should eat salad, but wants ice cream. I’m on a spinning wheel of emotions. But I can’t wait to see my smiling faces on Monday!

Let’s talk transitions! sitting on @zoom_us, going from Math to ELA to science can be tough. I made virtual backgrounds for each subject (with a spot for anchor charts to reference) to help- we know the power of a change of scenery! I’ll use these w/ my favorite transition songs!
