Christmas Day sees the start of the Jubilee Year - ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ . Pope Francis has asked us to journey , in our lives, closer God. One of the things that helps us is times of rest for reflection and renewal . Start practising this now - stop, have a cuppa, renew 💜💙

What a busy day for our wonderful Year 3 children! They led a beautiful mass for the first week of Advent and then 7 children made the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the very first time. We are very proud of the children and for taking the next step in their faith journey 💙

This morning in Nursery we were thanking God Our Father for our food. We talked about what fruit and vegetables need to grow and thanked God for these. We also thanked Him for the farmers who work hard to harvest our food. We then did some printing with fruit and vegetables 💙

Thank you to all the children in Year 3 for their generous donations for Alzheimer’s Society 💕 The children enjoyed wearing their pyjamas to school and watching a film in the afternoon 🍿💙

The children in Nursery loved putting together an Autumn tuff tray today. They investigated lots of different types of pumpkins and leaves, held conkers, pine cones, acorn and smelt cinnamon sticks and dehydrated oranges 💙

Year 4 parents gathered with us today during our Stay and Pray. We listened to Dan and Emily and responded through songs of praise for the world the God created and all the life within it. Go forth and spread the light in our hearts after hearing the word of the Lord 💙

4G were OUTSTANDING in P.E today. Our Gymnastics unit is providing plenty of opportunities for the children to showcase their abilities. Today was our 3rd lesson and we have progressed onto weight shifting and deeper stretches to improve our ability 💙

In Year 4, the children read the parable of Joseph and his brothers and looked for key messages of God within scripture. As it is the year of 'The Pilgrim of Hope' the children made links of hope within the story too. "Trust in God, he shall provide 💙

In RE this afternoon 1P learned all about St Francis of Assisi and how he cared for creation and animals. The children listed his qualities. The children’s reflection was to think about how they will go forth and be like St Francis. 🙏🏻 @MrsLHstw @MrsMilligan4
