@MrsMe1kleEng Aren't they gorgeous, Becky! And the real cover (to be revealed soon) is just beautiful! xx

100% agree on everything @FunkyPedagogy says here. I wish I had more time to make a bigger difference for our kids. But we’re trying, one step at a time…

Students at #JKHS in #rossonwye eagerly opened their #GCSE results today, we rolled out the red carpet and treated everyone to ice-creams 🤩 There was a celebratory atmosphere today as the school achieved a stellar set of examination results! 👉 buff.ly/46Ynahp

All my KS5 English Language resources are finally in one place 🥰 I am so passionate about this course - if anyone is teaching it for the first time in Sept I’d love to help if you need drive.google.com/drive/folders/…

@DrRParker @bazhsw8183 2/2 but why does that mean our students don’t get the opportunities as well? @bazhsw8183 is spot on, people who got these experiences just don’t realise they reality for most. That said, we do all we can with what we have but it can only go so far.

@DrRParker @bazhsw8183 1/2 It’s a postcode lottery thing again. I work in a rural comp. However, I can’t count how many times I’ve wanted to sign up to schemes only to find we don’t qualify as we’re not in London or other inner cities. Yes, they have higher numbers of ‘disadvantaged’ students

🧵 about #class #privilege and #privateeducation. Watching the Olympic swimming last night and Clare Balding said something in such an incredulous tone which summed up the establishment perspective and how their experience differs. 1/

@MissJones140 Brilliant 😆 My favourite last week was a Year 8 mixing up the Conservatives and conservationists 😅

What a fab Friday! Working with some of our awesome students and @RossGazette on a new project, followed by planning ideas for our new library rewards, and being silly as part of a special video. Exciting things are in the pipeline at JKHS - a great start to the summer term!

@MrsSpalding Love the positivity 👏 Undeniably, the system is broken; we run ourselves into the ground only for the media to paint us as selfish antagonists in their stories. But, the classroom and the kids bring me joy. That’s why I love my job and won’t let anyone put me down for it!

@MissWilliamsEng Freya and Lil are working on it for Year 7 already 😁
