@debbs_198 @LouisEverett1 @stoneman_claire Do you find it is best to organize your paper resources alphabetically, by subject, or chronologically?
English

@LouisEverett1 @stoneman_claire If you give out a paper resource, at the end of the lesson it either gets stuck into the book or binned! No piles of paper hanging around classroom or books filled with scrappy sheets stuffed into the back!

@WeAreTeachers I love the idea of writing down 3 things that need to be done during the school day. I think it’s such a great habit to start the day with clear goals...that way we don’t fall into an aimless teaching slump or get caught in the day-to-day blur.

@TyGiordano @DCImmersion I agree! Something just as important as language is culture. After all, how are these children expected to fully understand deaf culture if they are not aware of it, and are not given opportunities to learn ASL? I love your insight.
English

@DCImmersion Languages give you new windows, ways of seeing the world. We need ASL to be taught at DCPS schools, especially at schools where kids who have deaf parents are.

I recently designed an ELA lesson about similes for a 4th grade class. In the lesson, I include a fun coding project in which students can participate to practice their similes. Here is the link to the project:
