Thank you so much to the volunteers from Enterprise Mobility who joined us to add around 400 brilliant representative books to the brand new school library at Brook Mead Academy in Leicester yesterday! 👇

I had an amazing time time @childrensbkshop choosing books with Sanchita and Emma from "The book that represents me" from @booktrust competition. I can not wait to get them on our library shelves and into the hands of the scholars to read.

Great time at @FPILEICESTER with the lovely Anna and Rhys selecting new Manga books for our brand new library @BrookMeadAcad. Thank you both for your expert knowledge. Looking forward to seeing these fly off our shelves to be enjoyed by the scholars.

Thank you to Kathleen and your team at DMU for inviting our scholars to attend an event looking at the UN Sustainability goals. Scholars enjoyed all the activities, ideas for a sustainable school, working on the goal that meant the most to them and making a wallet from a carton.

Super proud to have been awarded the Eco Schools Green Flag with Merit! @BrookMeadAcad . Scholars have worked so hard and learnt new skills. Looking forward to taking on the challenge next year in our new building.

Sad to be packing up our library as fond memories of book talks, fevered recommendations, pleas for the next in the series, etc. However, also super excited to move our beautiful stock to our new palatial three story height library in the heart of our new building.

Eco- schools at Brook Mead want to thank all the scholars for bringing in their plastic tops/lids. They have collected 3 boxes so far! Please keep collecting over the holidays and place them in the collection boxes in the school library.
