How extraordinary are these snake’s head fritillaries in the cottage garden? They hardly look real! 🐍 Other highlights: a vibrant red miniature tulip and our lovely daffodils still going strong. Enjoy the blooms this weekend with us - gardens & shop free. Open 12–4pm Fri–Mon!

You might notice some blue strips around the cottage on your visit! Our placement student, Matt, has installed them to monitor UV light on fabrics. The blue dyes fade with UV exposure and will be compared to a control to track how light affects our textiles...

In Mrs Smith’s Cottage pantry you’ll spot everything from the bold red of OXO cubes to an old jar of Vaseline! These everyday items once filled cupboards across Britain, and their nostalgic packaging tells a wonderful story of ordinary home life through the decades. @heartoflincs

Calling all Half-Term Crafters! We are open again this weekend for colouring and making between 12-3pm (Sat/Sun/Mon). All crafts included in your admission. We saw some excellent snails created last weekend - thank you to all that have taken part so far! @heartoflincs

Did you know Mrs Smith’s Cottage wasn’t always this shape? Built in the 1830s, it began as a square building and was later extended with two rooms and the wash house. Windows were also swapped to let in more light. #MrsSmithsCottage @heartoflincs
