Our dyslexic friendly library in the support base is starting to take shape! It will soon be ready for children to start borrowing from!

Author Natasha Iregbu very kindly dropped in her lovely children’s mindfulness stories into Prestonfield this week! They have some fantastic ideas to support children to slow down and enjoy the world around them and a real plus is that they are dyslexic friendly too! Thank you

We are looking for book donations for our bookstall at the School Fair! All money raised will help develop our new outdoor librariers!

Prestonfield Primary School is working towards their Core Reading Schools Accreditation which puts reading for pleasure at the ‘core’ of our school!

Next week all our classes are visiting Craigmillar Library. If you would like a library membership bring in your form or ask your teacher for one!

Next week is Book Week Scotland! As it’s the Gruffalo’s 25 Birthday this year we are going to have lots of Gruffalo themed activities! If you are in P1, 2 and 3 watch out for the Book Bug and Read Write Count bags coming out (Nursery’s are a little delayed).
