Today is 1 year of trying to learn Spanish. It has been a process and I’m still not great at it, but I am trying. It does give me a new appreciation for anyone trying to learn and adjust to a new language!
A year ago I decided to focus on learning Spanish and have been practicing each day since then. I have a lot more to learn, but I am looking forward to practicing my skills with our students and families when I am back at school in November! 😁
So glad I had the opportunity to support some of our Fernbrook Falcons by watching their amazing play from drama camp! We have some dazzling shining stars 🌟
Thank you to the Randolph Education Foundation for a wonderful Randolph Rockstar event! Grateful to be a part of @RandolphSchools and especially @fernbrooknj! @mbernal_DrB
Today a student told me “even if I can’t go places now, in books I can”. Teaching students books open up a whole new world is the best feeling ever. #Randolphschools@mtelischak@mjscott23
Today a student said “I didn’t think I could write this much. Taking it one step at a time is easier!” Helping students see their potential is my “why”. @mtelischak@mjscott23#randolphschools
Peak of the day! We talked about editing our work, and the S’s had a chance to be the teacher and edit mine (they LOVED correcting me). Then they edited theirs: capital letters, transition words, punctuation, AND capitalizing proper nouns! WOW!@mjscott23#Randolphschools
Proud teacher moment when your S’s take what was taught in class and apply to their free write Friday piece! So proud 🥳 @mjscott23@fernbrooknj#Randolphschools
This year is definitely different, but one thing remains the same, our desire to connect with our students. I put this on the wall of the classroom as a reminder to myself and my S’s that they are our “why”.
