Due to the continued snowfall cleanup – particularly on side streets and the anticipated delays, all school buses are cancelled today. Schools continue to remain open for in-person learning.

Raise the roof ...LITERALLY! 🙌 We had a great experiential learning opportunity this week building houses. 🏠 It took some elbow grease to build our houses, but this hands-on experience definitely "opened some doors" for us! 🚪😉 Thank you, @oyapTCDSB @TCDSB! #TCDSBBuildDay22

Today, I reflect on the growth that happened this year for me and for my students. Many lessons were taught, and yet many more were learned. And, although this school year posed a challenge for us, we grew ever more resilient! You are outta this world, my dear leaders! 🎓🎉

I once heard @Niigaanwewidam say “it’s not your fault, but it is your inheritance.” Time to do something about this inheritance other than: 🤫 actively hiding it. 🤫 denying it. 🤫 using evasive language to address it.

@Mrs_HPastore We had a wonderful Anti-Black Racism seminar at our school (right across from CW Jeffreys) earlier this year run by @PORAMORinfo and this was the exact discussion we had; so thankful that there is actual progress being made through legislation!

A step in the direction of progress! Ontario to end academic streaming in Grade 9 AND to ban suspension in elementary grades. "The status quo is indefensible," Lecce states. #ONpoli #ONeducation . Any thoughts??

@AntiBlackRacis1 I agree! @CWJefferysCI has seen progress since they ended streaming. thestar.com/yourtoronto/ed… I hope this is the beginning of journey towards reforming education in Ontario, specifically addressing and responding to the needs of our black students. Thanks for commenting!
