Conservation 2023 - @Year3_Bedford have learnt about Ivan, the Shopping Mall Gorilla 🦍. They've created beautiful artwork and written some wonderful newspaper reports. Learning about this has reminded us all to treat animals with respect and kindness 💕 #conservation

3LS are enjoying their Spike Lego workshop this morning with Mr Chamberlain from @hiimpactconsult

Geography As part of #fieldworkfortnight we visited an area of awe and wonder in our local area. @Year3_Bedford were certainly full of #aweandwonder as we went through the tunnel on a coach and explored Liverpool @World_Museum 🗺️🤩

I think we will all sleep tonight after our busy day at Liverpool @World_Museum! This trip was an ideal way to enhance our learning in History, Science and Geography. A huge thank you to all of the adults who have helped us today! 💚#fieldworkfortnight

Art @Year3_Bedford have been mixing colours to make secondary and tertiary colours this week for a background for their #conservation23 work 🎨🖌️🧑‍🎨

Music @Year3_Bedford have been enjoying ‘Let Your Spirit Fly’ They have performed this song using their beautiful voices, sign language and have also used glockenspiels! 🎶🎤

RE We have had some wonderful RE work! @Year3_Bedford learnt about Sikhism and the importance of sharing 🤝❤️

Science @Year3_Bedford have been learning about #forcedandmagnets Using magnets, they explored the classroom to magnetic and non-magnetic objects 🧲

Computing @Year3_Bedford have practiced moving a Sprite around a maze by using block based programming commands 💻

DT - shell structures @Year3_Bedford enjoyed learning about shell structures. They have designed, made and evaluated a gift box for a relative to store a small treasure. The children have worked hard and are pleased with their products!

DT Shell structures @Year3_Bedford analysed and investigated existing shell structure boxes. They deconstructed existing products to explore the nets. They then explored the nets of a square based pyramid, cube and cuboid #DT

DT - Shell structures @Year3_Bedford explored making 3D shapes, using 2D shapes from various construction kits #DT #FPT

PE - we have been practising our sprinting skills in relay races. We've focused on keeping our head up and driving our arms and legs 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃🏿‍♀️

Wow moment! We loved our visit from @hiimpactgemma recently. We worked together in teams to find clues and solve puzzles to unlock the box! Communication was key and thankfully everyone 'broke out' eventually! Thanks Gemma!

Art - we painted our pots when they were dry and used Greek line patterns to decorate. Don't they look fabulous!

Art - we used clay to make coil pots. We practiced skills such as hatching and scoring and used slip to act as a glue 🏺
